our properties These holiday properties are in
our distinctive 200 year old group of farm buildings in
typical Aveyron style, set in 30 acres of meadows and oak
woodland in the Seye valley, The
properties - home for our barn owls - Mas de
Cazelles provides peace and tranquility in a safe and
relaxing environment. The
Pigeonnier is attractively and comfortably furnished,
spacious and restored to a high standard. Its elevated
position gives it splendid views and privacy. The accommodation comprises: Spacious living/dining room with kitchen area and views to Verfeil; main access through double French windows; exposed beams and stone walls give a cool interior in summer; substantial fridge, conventional cooker, separate micro wave cooker/grill; solid fuel Godin stove and gas heater; dishwasher; extensive library; Staircase to double bedroom and separate minstrels gallery. Arched doorway to three storey Pigeonnier tower, with newly fitted ground floor bathroom, first floor double bedroom and stairs down to cool double bedroom with its own access to the garden. Second bathroom with shower, wc and pedestal wash basin, large immersion heater under the gallery. Outside: a large parking area with lawn and open barn, barbeque, garden furniture and opportunities for relaxing in either sun or shade; own entrance to shared pool, table tennis and badminton. Table tennis, swings, and badminton for joint use. Cot

ironing facilities, vacuums, CD players etc. Cave
contains The Farmhouse (sleeps 2 adults+2 children) The
farmhouse is ideal for a couple or a small family with
children over 5 years of age. It is full of character and
comforts. It has many original features, exposed beams,
antique furnishings and old world charm. The accommodation comprises: Lower level entrance from sheltered dining area into large kitchen/dining room equipped with fridge, conventional gas cooker, concealed immersion heater and spacious dining area with Godin cuisinière and interesting features; via stairs to: Spacious, relaxing sitting room on first floor with high ceiling and exposed beams; second entrance onto old stone terrace and steps to garden. Bathroom with shower, wc and hand basin; Attractive double bedroom with en suite bathroom and views across gardens to Verfeil; A spiral staircase from sitting room to mezzanine bedroom with two fitted single beds (stairs not suitable for very young children). Outside: secluded and
protected dining area, barbeque area surrounded by vines,
ample garden furniture, ancient bread oven, lawn and
large terraced garden with shady trees, lavender aromas;
own entrance to pool area.
For further detail on Bookings and a Booking Form please click here About our region The small and unspoilt village of Verfeil - a village fleuri - is within easy walking distance (1km) and has a good boulangerie/general stores, bar/restaurant, garage and post office. Tennis; boulodrome. Visiting boucherie/charcuterie/poissonerie. The former Cistercian Abbaye de Beaulieu is just 2 km away and mounts musical events and exhibitions in a splendid setting. Mas de Cazelles is close to many historic centres. Within about 30 minutes driving time are several charming, picturesque mediaeval/bastide villages and towns, most having regular market days. St Antonin-Noble-Val (15 minutes) sits in the spectacular Gorges de lAveyron, and its busy Sunday market is a must. Najac and Cordes are two imposing mediaeval hill towns brimming with history, fine buildings, restaurants and speciality shopping. The Thursday market at Villefranche is a fascinating experience. Further afield, historic Albi with its fine pink cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec museum is less than an hour away, as is Montauban, home of Ingres. Cahors - of wine and bridge fame - is a fascinating town to explore, whilst the pick of South West Frances chic has to be Toulouse, just over an hour away by car, or a short train journey from nearby Lexos (5km). The caves and cave paintings at Pechemerle (near the pretty village of St Cirq Lapopie) are stunning. Why not cycle and get even more immersed in rural France? Adult bikes can be rented from us at nominal daily rates. Nearby, inland lake and gorges offer swimming, canoeing, fishing and watersports. For gastronomic experiences and good value for money wine, the region is well known. The property, which contains a small working vineyard, is in an area which has many interesting walks through woods and meadows, hill and valley. The local Office de Tourisme provides a wealth of information about the area and local events, of particular importance during the tourist 'season'. Needless to say, the holiday properties also offer similar information both from the owners and previous guests - in English, too! Getting there The holiday properties are situated NE of Toulouse and to the west of Rodez, both of which have airports with car hire available. Ryanair fly to Rodez.
