| About
our B&B We
invite you to our home, Castelou Pelies, which is situated
on the banks of the Lot River in the beautiful Aveyron
department of South West France.
Castelou Pelies overlooks the majestic Lot River which
flows serenely at the bottom of our peaceful private

is steeped in history and features beautiful, ancient
villages and stunning vistas just waiting for you to

the Aveyron, is a 40 minute drive away and has daily

the world, the Millau Viaduct is just an hour and a
quarter by car as are the beautiful and spectacular
Gorges of the Tarn, Dourbie and Jonte.
The Aveyron, still unspoilt and little discovered by
tourists, is a haven for ramblers and anglers or
just touring the area in your car where you will find
very little traffic.
For the more energetic, there are many outdoor activities
such as canoeing, horseriding, cycling or you can simply
relax and have a swim in our private pool.
Old and new meet at the magnificent Millau viaduct which
is the tallest bridge in the world. Here you can visit
the exhibition on the creation of this outstanding feat
of engineering, which was designed by Lord Norman Foster
and built by Eiffel.
Within easy reach of Castelou Pelies are the Gorges of
the Tarn, Dourbie and Jonte and if you love cycling,
rambling or just sightseeing in your car you will be
surprised at how peaceful and unspoilt the area is, with
very little traffic even in the 'busiest' of seasons.
A must for visitors is a visit to
some of the Plus Beau Villages De France,
The most beautiful villages in France. This
is a prestigious club of 139 villages which have been
chosen for their character, heritage and the desire of
the inhabitants to protect their uniqueness. The Aveyron
has 9 of these villages which is more than any other
department in France.
