  About our region

Fréjus is a delightful market town and beach resort 37.5 miles West of Nice (International Airport) and is set halfway between St Tropez (20 miles West) and Cannes (20 miles East); the twin towns of this all-year-round resort. Fréjus offers an ideal base with a wide range of interests - from the beautiful beaches (2 km long and 100 m wide) with fine golden sand that stretches to Saint-Raphaël, the chic and famous Port Fréjus sailing marina (above), outdoor markets in the old Roman town daily and along the beach front in the summer, beach & port firework displays (Friday evenings in July & August), sites of artistic, architectural and historical interest to the casino and motor rail terminus in Saint-Raphaël.

This town of art and culture has built up a rich historical and architectural patrimony. It has been an active and dynamic town since Julius Caesar himself founded it in 49 B.C. and includes roman ruins, amphitheatres, archaeological digs of Clos de la Tour.

A very wide range of local activities are available - including swimming (beach or swimming pool), zoo, watersports, markets, horse riding, cycling, walking, guided tours (see Tourist Information Centre), historical sites, galleries, museums, music festivals, and theatre. Walk, ride or bike in the Esterel hills, visit the aqua park (Aquatica) with the kids, drive along cliff hugging roads of the Corniche, see the art deco splendour of Juan les Pins.

Fréjus is a large town with lots to offer its visitors. The town centre is busy; full of shops, bars, art galleries and restaurants. During the summer in particular the bars and restaurants come alive with outside entertainment.

About our apartment (sleeps 2/4)

The well-maintained secure complex with gardens on which the apartment is situated is large but generally quiet. There is very tight security and CCTV. It has its own 4 ‘private’ tennis courts and its own ‘private’ 60m swimming pool and a toddlers’ pool with plenty of space for sunbathing (open 15th May to 30th September).

It is approximately 5 minutes walk to the centre of the old roman town. There are outdoor markets in the town most days; with main market days being Wednesdays and Saturdays. The beach is less than 2 miles away with several bars and restaurants. Parking is available along the coast road where, during the summer months, the streets come alive with evening entertainment, market stalls, buskers, firework displays (Friday evenings in July & August), etc.

The apartment has a south-facing balcony (loggia) with a large patio table, four chairs and decorative plants.
