  About our property

La Petite Gardette is a small private hamlet near the village of Pierrevert in Haute-Provence. The hamlet has six holiday cottages which sleep from 2 to 6 people. Set in gorgeous landscaped grounds, five of the cottages share a swimming pool - the sixth cottage, The Almonds, has a private swimming pool.

The seven self-contained cottages are available for holidays all year round, as well as for long-term lets. They all have TV/videos, garden furniture and private terraces with barbecues. All linen and towels are provided, and laundry facilities are also available for guests. Changeover day is Saturday during the summer months.

La Petite Gardette is owned by Dottie and Aureilio Paltrinieri (Dottie is English and Aurelio is Italian). Dottie and Aurelio, who live in the main farmhouse at La Petite Gardette, are always happy to share local information, advice and recommendations (and glasses of wine!) with guests. They look forward to welcoming you to their hidden paradise.

Cottages For 2

Three cottages - The Roses, The Mulberries and The Platanes - sleep two people each. All have TV/videos, private terraces with barbecues, and shared use of the swimming pool. All linen and towels are provided.

The Roses (sleeps 2)

The Roses is a very pretty semi-detached cottage. It has a kitchen/lounge, a bathroom and a double bedroom. The private terrace, with its own barbecue, looks out over the landscaped grounds.

The Mulberries (sleeps 2)

The Mulberries, a semi-detached mews cottage, has a lounge, a kitchen, a bathroom and a big double bedroom.There is also a covered terrace with a barbecue, which looks out over the grounds.

The Platanes (sleeps 2)

The Platanes is a spacious ground-floor apartment for two people. The bedroom has a double bedwith an en suite bathroom. The lounge has an open fire, the kitchen is well equipped and this apartment has a covered terrace with a barbecue.

Cottages for 2-4

Three cottages - The Rosemaries, The Wisterias and The Poplars - sleep four people each. All three are also available at a reduced rate for two people. The cottages all have TV/videos, private terraces with barbecues, and shared use of the swimming pool in the beautiful landscaped grounds. All linen and towels are provided.

The Rosemaries (sleeps 4)

The Rosemaries is a spacious mews cottage with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also a lounge, a kitchen and a lovely covered terrace with a barbecue. The large double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the second bedroom has bunk beds.

The Wisterias (sleeps 4)

The Wisterias is a luxury cottage for four. It has a lounge, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a terrace with a barbecue in the garden. This cottage has central heating.

The Poplars (sleeps 4)

The Poplars is a luxury cottage for four. It has a lounge/kitchen, an open fire, two double bedrooms and one bathroom. There is also a terrace with a barbecue in the garden.

Cottage for 4-6

The Almonds, sited on the edge of the golf course, is a pretty Provençal mas for up to six people (reduced prices apply to smaller parties out of High season - please ask us for details). As well as a terrace with a barbecue, this cottage has its own private swimming pool.

The Almonds (sleeps 6)

The Almonds has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge has an open fire,and the kitchen is very well-equipped with a dishwasherand a washing machine.Cots and high chairs are available on request. The cottage also has central heating,a TV/video and its own garage- and all linen and towels are provided.

  • We do not take credit cards. Payment is by personal cheque in pounds sterling or equivalent in euros according to exchange rate.
  • Low season discount: 10% discount for two-week stays in Low Season (before 5 July and after 30 August).
  • Special rates are available for long lets. Please ask for details.
  • The Poplars, The Rosemaries & The Wisterias are available at a reduced rate for two people.
  • Out of High season, The Almonds is available at a reduced price for fewer than six people.

Setting

Pierrevert is close to the intersection of four départements: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Var, Bouches-de-Rhône and Vaucluse.

Architecture

The village has kept its medieval charm with its old doors, ancient ramparts and the remains of a windmill. Of particular note are Chapelle St Patrice (13th C), Portail St Joseph (17th C) and the church door (18th C).

Resources & production

The wine produced on Pierrevert's slopes has been "A.O.C." since 1998, and makes the village the wine capital of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

When arriving at the village of Pierrevert, follow the signs to the golf club "Golf du Luberon." Just before the entrance to the golf club, turn left at the sign "La Petite Gardette." Drive 2 km down this road and then turn right, and you will see the sign for the house, and the house itself.
