our region Set in the rolling countryside enclosed by
the historic The professionally landscaped gardens contain over a thousand varieties of trees and exotic shrubs, with tree-lined avenues leading to the “standing-stone field” and the well stocked 1.8 acre lake which is home to carp, roach and perch – an attraction to artists and anglers alike! Our village, Charchigné, lies 5km SE of Lassay les Chateaux itself only 10km from the famous Normandy spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne. Further North lies Falaise famous for its links with both William the Conqueror and World War II. Horse lovers will wish to visit the National Stud at Haras du Pin, only one hour away whilst those seeking more modern forms of transport can visit Le Mans to the south. The Roman town of Jublains and the historic walled town of Sainte Suzanne are well worth visiting whilst the Mancelles Alps feature picturesque villages and outdoor sporting activities appealing to more active visitors. Further afield Mont St Michel, Tours (on the Loire Valley) or Paris are within two hours. About
our property Bed & Breakfast Enter the tarmac drive, which sweeps up to the property past gardens laid to lawn with mature trees, and a delightful pond and rockery; there is ample parking. The
entrance to the house is via flagstone steps to a From the kitchen, stairs lead to the hall and three double bedrooms, two of which are ensuite with shower and washbasin. A fourth twin bedroom is available if required. Self Catering Accommodation Brand new, well-appointed, self-contained first floor apartment sleeps 6 people (3 double rooms, and two modern futons if required). There is a large shower room with hand basin and heated towel rail, and a separate toilet. A kitchenette is part of the large main room (with Sat TV music centre and DVD) that leads onto the balcony that overlooks our property. Access is available to the grounds, and there is an area, with seating and a table, for barbecues and possibly evening drinks! See below for prices.
