Mesnières-en-Bray is ideally situated both as a stop
over for those travelling further south and for touring
the Normandy cheese and cider country. Accommodation 23 Grand Rue is a warm and welcoming French home with original tiled floors and high ceilings. The entrance hall is flanked on one side by the pretty Petite Salle and on the other by the elegant Dining Room. An original elm staircase takes you to the bedrooms on the first floor. 23 Grand Rue has a wifi connection. Number 23 is non smoking and regrets it does not allow pets. Great care is taken with the preparation of breakfast and dinner drawing on the abundance of regional produce and specialities. Cheese, especially the local heart-shaped Neufchâtel-en-Bray, cream, cider and calvados feature along with duck breasts and fresh fish from Dieppe market. The combination of Madeleine’s cordon bleu training and Peter’s wine trade experience ensure that your stay will be memorable. Bedrooms The bedrooms are newly furnished
and decorated. The en-suite shower rooms are installed
with top quality Grohe Fleur is named after the crisp,
blue flowered curtains and has twin beds and antique
furniture. The blue theme is continued into the en-suite
shower room. Tulipe has a contemporary atmosphere with a 5ft new metal-framed double bed and French style painted furniture. Its creamy shower room carries on the contemporary feel. Trianon is the family room with a

Weekly rates available on request About our region Mesnières is very proud of its medieval Château with gardens roamed by peacocks and other interesting varieties of birds. The Avenue Verte, a traffic free trail only 100 metres from the house, stretches from Dieppe to Forges-les-Eaux with picnic spots and shady benches. It perfect for cycling, walking and horse-riding. Rouen and Dieppe are within easy reach. The former an ancient city with medieval architecture, gothic Cathedral and famous Gros Horloge. The latter is a busy seaside town with port, château and beaches. Dieppe has a famous Saturday morning market. For superb food you need not leave the village for Mesnières is very fortunate in having the top class, family run restaurant L’Auberge de Bec Fin. Normandy has a superb variety of golf courses many within easy reach. Saint Saëns is only 15 minutes away with Dieppe just a little further. Normandy has an abundance of beautiful gardens from Monet’s Garden at Giverny to Les Bois des Moutiers , an Arts and Craft house and garden by Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll, at Varengeville-sur-Mer . Château de Bosmelet, with its famous potager is close by and many more wait to be discovered. Cider, Calvados and excellent cheeses, especially the heart shaped Neufchatel, are all on the door step.
