La Haute Herbelais is a typical Normandy longere situated in the rolling countryside on the edge of the sweeping forests of Andaine.

From the house there are magnificent views towards the forest and surrounding farm lands.

You will always find a warm welcome at our lovely Bed & breakfast/Chambre d'hote.

Accommodation

La Haute Herbelais has 2 en-suite spacious airy bedrooms both with comfy double beds and French doors on to balconies overlooking the garden and surrounding fields.

Both bathrooms are equipped with showers and baths.

There are two further rooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin single beds.

These two rooms share a modern shower room equipped with a 'drench' as well as a conventional shower, ideal for a family.

The double bedded room also has French doors on to the balcony.

En-suites: 50 euros per night including continental breakfast

Double room and twin room: 40 euros each per night inclusive.

Stays over 3 night benefit by a 10% reduction per night.

Prices for long stays by arrangement.

About our region

La Haute Herbelais is situated in an ideal position between the hamlets of St Ouen le Brisoult & Antoigny and 10 mins drive from the beautiful spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne where can be found many first class restaurants varying in price to suit all budgets.

Bagnoles also has the famous Thermal Baths where you can take the 'cure' You may also like to play tennis or golf or maybe enjoy swimming in one of the pools

For a 'special night out', there is always the famous Bagnoles Casino where you can enjoy eating in perfect surroundings, play the tables and even dance the night away

The town of La Ferte Mace is only 10 mins drive away where all your shopping needs can be satisfied

The long sweeping D-Day landing beaches are about 1.5 hrs away by car. The numerous museums in the area explain the full story of this momentous occasion.

The historic city of Caen takes about an hour from La Haute Herbelais and if your fancy is fast cars, Le Mans is about 2 hours away.

In the forest of Andaine there are miles of walks and cycle ways where if you are lucky you might spy a deer, a fox or even a timid boar. In the cooler season the forest springs to life with mushrooms of all descriptions. There is also a horse riding school on the edge of the forest for those who like to view the scenery from on high

Getting there

Ideally located within an easy drive from the ferryports of Caen, La Havre, St Malo and Cherbourg, we are well placed for short stops for those travelling on South.
