Welcome to Normandy Town & Country based in Domfront, Normandy, France. We offer Chambre d’hote (bed and breakfast) in our 19th century manor house in the heart of town and a Luxury Chauffeur service. Feel free to call us to see how we can make your visit to France so much more enjoyable.

Normandy is famous for the D-Day landing beaches, its busy Channel ports and elegant resorts.

West of Le Havre are a number of smart resorts and sandy beaches, then the beaches of the D-Day landings give way to the wilder sandy beaches of Cherbourg ending in the Bay of Le Mont St Michel.

From Le Havre to Rouen and beyond the Seine flows through attractive countryside with some interesting sights along the way. Inland are extensive orchards producing delicious cider, Calvados, Pommeau and Poire.

Domfront town originally dates back to the 11th century when around 1010 the first fortification was erected on a sandstone promontory which overlooked the Varene.

Domfront was surrounded with deep moats and an enclosed wall built by Guillamume de Talvas. For many centuries Domfront castle was one of France’s strong holds due to its strategic position. Today Domfront offers great exploring for young and old, through the winding cobbled streets.

Experience the castle ruins where excavations are still going on, the two historical churches dating back to 1020, many historically buildings, and of course the great restaurants, bars and calvados tours in the surrounding area.

Why choose us? - we are just a few minutes walk from the castle ruins, churches, and restaurants for all tastes; and only a few miles by car to open countryside, breathtaking views, the spa village of Bagnoles d’ Orne and much more.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms are available with en-suite facilities with linen, towels and complimentary toiletries. French TV, DVD players, DVDs, tea and coffee making equipment and hairdryers are also available.

Continental Breakfast served in the dining room or the
garden (weather permitting).

Cots and baby equipment for your room are available free of charge. An extra bed for a child 10 & under is available at 20 euros extra per night.

Prices and booking information

Bed & breakfast prices are based on 2 people sharing the room. Prices are per room and include continental breakfast.

Arrival time is from 2pm onwards and checkout is 10am.
