About
our region Set in
a small hamlet just 3 km Ideally located close to Domfront and within an easy drive from Caen, Le Havre,St Malo and Cherbourg, we are well placed for stopovers for those travelling from the ferry ports to the South, and for those looking for property in the area. We can also offer unbiased advice to those who might want to learn from our experiences leading up to our own relocation from the UK. For those wanting a holiday, the area is steeped in history and there are many places of interest and beauty to visit. Drive through the shady Forêt d'Andaines and visit the pretty spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne (20 km), see the 'Grande' and 'Petite' Cascades at Mortain (20 km). Tour the Cider Museum at Barenton (10 km) or swim in the lake at La Ferté-Macé (20 km). See the old town of Fougères with its medieval château, and visit the 'Ville Enchante' at Bellefontaine. The lovely sandy beaches on the Northern Coast of Brittany can be reached in under two hours, so too the famous abbey at Mont St Michel and the historical town and war museum at Avranches. Alternatively, why not explore one of the themed walking/cycling routes - du Cidre, du Poiré or Lancelot du Lac? There is also the Fosse d'Arthur, a short distance away, with forest walks, streams and fishing. For the more energetic there is rock climbing, canoeing and sailing close by. There are several 9 and 18 hole
golf courses within an hour's drive. We welcome you to our home in the heart of Normandy on the fringe of the beautiful Suisse Normande area. Our rates

at €15 per person and light suppers can be provided
at €10 (please book in advance). On warm evenings,
dinner can be enjoyed on the terrace whilst watching the
sun set over the valley. The
channel ports of Caen, Le Havre, St. Malo and Cherbourg
are all convenient for those coming to La Pichellerie by
