our Gite/Bed & Breakfast Welcome To Maison Du Montitier Self catering holiday Gite in Normandie run by James and Jacqueline Cunningham who hail from Cumbria n/west of England. The Gite is a newly renovated barn conversion, with: 2 family sized bedrooms, both with en suite facilities, satellite TV/Video/DVD and panoramic views of Le Mont St Michel, the second biggest attraction in France. The Gite will comfortably sleep 7 people with the availability of a travel cot and highchair if needed. A click clack bed is also available if there were 8 people.
We are situated 4 minutes from the historic Le Mont St Michel and on the borders of the beautiful Bretagne. There are many excellent shops and restaurants nearby in the towns of Avranche and Pontorson. Cancale is just a 40 minute drive away, with its lovely beaches which are famous for their Mussels and oysters. Bicycles are available at our Gite and you will receive a welcome pack with a few items to get you settled in. Locally there is also a wide range of horse riding, fishing, golfing, walking, fantastic local markets, cycle ways and much much more.. The Gite also boasts a nice patio area for alfresco dining and a large secure garden for children to play in. A one week stay at Maison Du Montitier is from Saturday to Saturday but can be changed with some arrangement. Included in the price a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron, hairdryers and bed linen. About our Region We are situated 4 minutes from the historic Le Mont St Michel on the borders of beautiful Bretagne. Cancale is just a 40 minute drive away,with its lovely beaches which are famous for their Muscles and oysters The beaches of the Normandy landings are within easy reach. Also, the German and American War Cemeteries are situated, along with many Museums, not to far from the Gite. The local cider and calvados is a must try during your trip or stay to France.. There are several zoos/aligator bay and many beaches to keep the children occupied. Getting there The ports of Cherbourg & Caen are convenient for this region.
