Graham and Caroline would like to welcome you to their peaceful rural bed and breakfast "The Magnolias" which caters exclusively for adults.

We are situated midway between Tessy Sur Vire and Saint Lo.

The Magnolias is a beautifully renovated traditional stone farmhouse in 'Le Mesnil Opac',set in four acres of well kept lawned gardens with all boundaries overlooking views of pure unspoilt countryside and just a 25 minute drive from the beach.

It has been specially converted to operate as bed & breakfast accommodation.

We have four large en-suite bedrooms which are designed to incorporate original features of the building whilst combining this with modern features designed to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

All bedrooms feature views over the well kept gardens.

Relax over a game of pool and listen to the jukebox in the bar room,whilst enjoying an ice cold beer or a fruity glass of wine before enjoying fantastic home cooked food in our new guest dining room.

Watch English television in our comfortable guest lounge
Pick up your emails and surf the net with our free broadband wifi internet connection.

Or relax in the gardens with a good book or just sit and soak up the sunshine.

Prices and Booking Information (Euros)

For bookings of one or two nights, payment is due at the time of reservation.
For longer periods a deposit of 35% is due at the time of reservation.

Check-in time after 4.30.pm.

Check-out time By 10.30.am

Online payment facilities available.

We regret we are unable to accept bookings for children under the age of 16.

We have no facilities to cater for pets.

About our Region

The Magnolias offers ideal B&B holiday accommodation for exploring Normandy, with the D-Day Landing beaches and museums.

We recommend starting your tour at the famous town St Mere Eglise and then work round the coast and see the battlegrounds, military cemeteries and museums of the single biggest invasion force ever assembled.

Visit Le Mont-Saint-Michel,the rocky, cone-shaped islet in north-western France, in the Gulf of Saint-Malo, connected by a causeway with the mainland. The islet, celebrated for its Benedictine abbey, has small houses and shops on its lowest level. Above these stand the monastic buildings, many of which date from the 13th century.

The caves at Caumont l'Éventé,The Bayeux Tapestry, The Historic City of Caen,The Zoo De Champréprus, The Maisy German Gun Battery, Granville Port,Alligator Bay and the famous town Villiedieu Les Poeles.

Not forgetting of course the fishing, cycling, horse riding, hiking, village markets and local beaches.

Getting there

We are about one hour's drive from the ferry ports of Caen and Cherbourg or you can fly to the airport at Dinard.
