About
our B&B The Haven is a small guest house in rural Normandy, France, offering B&B and Self-Catering accommodation. We have renovated an old stone farmhouse, to provide comfortable accommodation, whilst retaining many of the original features. The
house is in an elevated, peaceful setting, south-facing, The nearest market town is Villedieu-les-Poeles, less than 15 minutes away. There is a large, mature garden at the front of the house, which is not overlooked, and which slopes gently down to the wildlife pond, and a productive, organic vegetable garden. There are many trees, a variety of flowering shrubs, far-reaching views, and quiet places to sit and relax. Meals can be eaten in the garden, under the apple trees, weather permitting. There is a cider apple orchard to the side of the house, and a small paddock at the back. The local farmer often uses this area for some of his sheep and lambs - which helps us keep the grass down. Bed & Breakfast Small
double room overlooking garden and views, with Family room, overlooking garden and views, with double and one single bed, plus en-suite shower-room/wc. Childrens' room adjacent to the family room with 2 single beds. A copious breakfast is served in the farmhouse kitchen or lounge-diner, and sometimes, weather permitting, in the garden. Evening meals are available on your day
of arrival, if booked in advance. These simple wholefood
meals are in the main vegetarian, but fish and free-range
poultry can also be included on the menu. Wherever
possible, ingredients are organic, and fruit and
