our Gypsy Caravan Holidays New in Normandy - Horse-Drawn Caravan Holidays - spend a delightful few days touring beautiful, tranquil countryside in your own gyspy caravan! Our routes are designed that there is as
little as contact as possible with cars as you will be on
quiet Normandy lanes or the Chemin Vert, (converted
railway lines for pedestrians, horses and bicycles - no
motorised vehicles), The gentle clip clop of your horse and bird song, as your wagon gently rolls along will be all you can hear at times, just imagine your stresses flowing away as you travel in unison with your horse. Our stops in the lovely villages
and towns along the route are chosen with care to include
beautiful Chateaux and other suitable places with full
facilities like showers, toilets, cafes and restaurants. The caravan is designed to be as comfortable and as compact as possible - yet light enough for one horse to pull. It has sleeping accommodation for 4 to 5 persons. The caravan is equipped with a two ring gas cooker with grill, sink, seating kitchen equipment to allow holiday meals to be prepared and served in the caravan. It is also equipped with bedding, ie, (Pillows, Sheets and Quilts). The bedroom has one double bed, two single beds and 1 child's bed. In the course of an enjoyable horse-drawn caravan holiday you will inevitably develop a special relationship with your horse. Your horse has been chosen for his temperament driving skills and many other qualities, before being entrusted to you. Like people, horses have personalities, (horsealities!). The 'Normandy Cob', ('Cob Normand'), well-known world wide. There are various routes you can take - a 7 day or a 3 day with all the stops worked out for you so there is food & water and somewhere for the horses plus for you showers, loo and all the facilities you need - most importantly just a short distance from a restaurant, town or a bar! Activities in the area The local area offers a wealth of activiites inluding cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, paragliding, sailing, surfing, swimming, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing, bird watching, dolphin & seal watching, boat trips round the invasion beaches, sand yachting, para wind surfing and beach combing.
Meals: breakfast, breakfast/lunch, breakfast/lunch/dinner booking possible Guests pay €20 per caravan per night at over night stops for camping, use of toilets, showers etc. The route is designed that you stop off at places with full facilities.
