our B&B Stay in an impressive stone and granite farmhouse built in 1772 situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside. Le Bourg is large farmhouse set in a peaceful valley, an acre of garden surrounds the house where breakfast and evening meals can be taken on warm sunny days. Part of the garden is taken up with growing our own fruit and vegetables which we serve to our guests. Accommodation We have two double bedrooms both with en-suite facilities. Ideal location for short or long stay and house hunters. En-suite facilities.
Bedroom 1 faces west and benefits from the afternoon sun. Bedroom 2 faces east and looks over the walled garden, and adjoining this room is a bedroom with bunkbeds suitable for two children. Both rooms have en-suite facilities. Continental breakfast with homemade preserves is taken in the farmhouse kitchen and evening meals in the lounge on cooler evenings beside a large granite fireplace.

Evening meals are available by prior arrangement and cooked by the owner who is a qualified chef of 25 years. Cookery Courses For those wishing to enjoy a different experience in France, a range of cookery courses are available with the owner where you can learn to cook a variety of different dishes from soups and homemade pate to various main course dishes to simple desserts that will wow your friends.. Please contact the owners for further details and prices. About our region Ferrieres is a small peaceful farming village, the quiet roads are ideal for walking and cycling with spectacular views across the countryside. A five minute drive away is the town of St. Hilaire du Harcouet which has a lively market every Wednesday selling fresh produce, there is ample shopping, restaurants and bars. At the beginning of November they host St. Martins Fair with over 800 stalls selling everything and a funfair of an evening, the main streets are closed for 3 days ( something not to miss). The great site of Mont St. Michel is a short drive away and St. Malo with its old walled city a little further on. A day out to Cherbourg peninsular along the coast to the Second World War museums and Normandy Landing Beaches and onto Bayeaux famous for its Tapestry. Closer to home is the town of Mortain with its park and scenic waterfall or the medieval town of Domfront. Activities
nearby include golf in Granville, fishing, and leisure
