About
our region Le
Caperdu is situated 10 km north of St Lô in the valley
of the River Elle. It stands amidst riverside pastureland
and cider orchards which are still farmed in the
traditional manner. Local shops include a supermarket,
bakery and butcher, all within two kilometres. Organic
produce, including eggs, milk, cider and vegetables are
usually available depending on the season. St Lô, with
its famous Saturday market and an extensive range of
shops can be reached in about 15 minutes, and Bayeux and
Carentan are about 20 minutes by car. To the north at the
same distance are the Côte de Nacre and the Normandy
landing beaches. Le Caperdu is a 17th century, stone built, oak beamed farmhouse. The house has been modernised, whilst keeping its original character. It provides comfortable accommodation for up to eight people and includes: A generous kitchen with fridge, washing machine, gas cooker and microwave as well as table and chairs. The ktichen opens onto a patio with a barbecue. A large lounge/dining room with oak dining table and chairs, sofas, coffee table and a stereo CD system.
Two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a fourth bedroom with a single bed and a two-tier bunk bed. A baby cot is avaialble if required. Sufficient clean bedding is always available in the form of duvets, pillows and blankets.

is situated The house has many paintings by
the owner, and outside, there is a large garden and
extensive orchard where children can play safely. Le Caperdu is
easily accessible, as the ferry ports at Cherbourg and
Caen are within one hour's drive. The house is close to
Lison station on the main Paris to Cherbourg railway. It
takes about two hours by train to reach Paris.
