our region La Merveille is a peaceful retreat - home
from home in the heart of Normandy, a few kilometres
north of Avranches. The house is ideally located to
explore all parts of Normandy. Just 40 minutes' drive to
the Mont St Michel and the huge American War Cemetery at
St James. To the north it takes just a little longer to
reach the D-Day landing A short drive from La Merveille are the excellent sandy beaches of Carolles and Jullouville. The coastline is enormously attractive and the Channel Islands are within a short ferry crossing from the ports of Granville and St. Malo. From the house it
is less than 30 minutes to reach a wide range of
attractive leisure centres. A major karting track is There are some delightful markets to visit in the area, notably the ones at Villedieu, Jullouville and St Hilaire. Avranches is an especially attractive town - 10 minutes from Le Luot - with some superb eating places and relaxed shopping. There are many opportunities to enjoy horses. We can link up with various riding groups and the French host's father is a trainer of racehorses at Le Luot itself. You cannot ride these horses but they are certainly worth a good look. You may even get a chance to see them run at one of the local racetracks at Avranches, Villedieu, Jullouville or Granville. We have visited numerous restaurants in the area and can now recommend some first class eating places in Avranches, Granville, Beauchamp and Villedieu. La Merveille is the perfect place for professional people to relax and escape the pressures of everyday life. We offer a warm welcome in an informal atmosphere. It is also the perfect place for group visits by friends, clubs etc. We are also an ideal base for house hunters. Again, upon request we can arrange to accompany guests looking for a property to assist with language difficulties. We would also be happy to prepare a shortlist of properties for your visit. We are always prepared to assist with travel and have collected parties from the Channel ports at Cherbourg and Caen. Dinard provides a more than useful air link with this area. Above all, La Merveille is the ideal setting for children. The garden is safe and the environment relaxed and peaceful. We accept bookings all year round.
An ideal setting for families and small groups, the house has accommodation comprising: Three good sized family rooms. The large family room sleeps 5 comfortably, and there are additional rooms with double or twin beds. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The main lounge and games room has a pool table, air hockey and table football. The room has a bar, jukebox and French TV. A large garden provides a safe environment for children with swimming pool, barbecue area and petanque piste. There is ample parking space and room for some camping. La Merveille
offers a choice of Continental or English breakfast with
an optional relaxed evening meal. All prices in Euros Prices for rooms include breakfast

5 minutes away and an excellent zoo can be found close by
at Champrepus. There are popular golf courses in the
Granville area and we can assist with bookings there.
Also in Granville there are some interesting shops,
eating places and a bowling alley!
