The cottage is in rural surroundings only 4 km from Coutances, a cathedral town with many historical connections. For self-catering there is a large supermarket on the outskirts of Coutances and many individual and interesting shops in the town centre. Market day is on Thursday.

The D-Day beaches, Bayeux and Caen are within easy reach, as is Mont St Michel.

In addition to the many lovely sandy beaches, activites in the area include many walks, riding, golf, sand yachting and gliding.

The cottage at Le Haut Claquet, Saussey is set in a rural location only 4 kms from Coutances, a cultural and historical centre.

There is one double bedroom.

Possibility of reduced ferry fares on some sailings from Portsmouth. The cottage is open all year (with flexible changeover day) and short breaks and châmbres d'hôtes are also available.

The cottage is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, gas/electric cooking, microwave oven, dishwasher, electric heating, washing machine, shower bathroom, separate WC, garden furniture and BBQ.

Getting there

The cottage is easily accessible from the Channel ports, and Ryanair operate flights from London Stansted to Dinard.
