our Property Excellently situated for Omaha and Utah beaches, La Mirabelle is located in the hamlet of Maisy part of Grandcamp Maisy. This is a small, friendly seaside village between the Normandy D-day landing beaches of Omaha and Utah. Mirabelle has been tastefully decorated and furnished. The ground floor is open plan, with seating around the fire. The
lounge area has a settee and
armchair, English and French TV and DVD and video player.
The dining table seats The kitchen area has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. The sideboard has a good selection of china, cutlery etc. A washing machine is available. On
the first floor is the main bedroom with a double bed. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and the third bedroom has a single bed. The house has full central heating, double glazing and an open log fireplace. There is an internet connection in the house. Prices and Booking Information
This includes bedding, towels, tea towels, electricity etc. About our region There are excellent choices of restaurants, cafes and bars all within 10 minutes walking distance of your home. You will also find in the village all essential shops, supermarket, boulangerie, chemist, Post Office etc. The memorable D-Day Landing beaches of Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc, American Cemetery at Colleville and Germany Cemetery at La Cambe and many WW11 museums are all in the immediate vicinity. The recently opened Maisy Battery is an easy 5 minute walk. A 5 minutes drive to the main N13 giving easy access to all areas of Normandy. It is a 45 minute drive from the ferry ports of Cherbourg and Caen. The drive time from Calais is 3½ hours. The nearest town is Isigny sur mer, has two large supermarkets. Historic Bayeux
is full of medieval buildings, cathedral and of course,
the Tapestry, is a 20 minute drive. By Air There are airports in Caen and Deauville. Dinard airport is located just east of St Malo and flights into Dinard are operated by Ryanair from London Stansted and East Midlands. EasyJet operate flights into Paris from London Luton. Cars can be hired from the airports. Ferries Brittany Ferries operate from Portsmouth into Caen. There are also ferries into Le Havre from Portsmouth and also to Cherbourg.
