About
our cottage La Cauchoise is a charming,
half-timbered cottage set in The Normandy landing beaches, the Bayeux tapestry, Monet’s Gardens at Giverny and Paris are all easily reached attractions. Le Havre is 30 minutes; Caen is about 40 minutes and Calais is an easy 2.5 hour drive. The
cottage, set in almost an acre of wildflower meadow, Cottage Facilities: 2
bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Mezzanine landing with There’s also a double sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional guests. Sitting/Dining
Room
has 2 large comfortable sofas, a midi Hi-fi with music
CDs and a colour TV with Video & DVD, together with a
selection of family There is electric heating and a large woodburner for cosy log fires on colder evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, a washing machine and lots of cutlery, crockery etc. The ground floor bathroom has a shower, washbasin and loo. Outside are 2 sunny patios, complete with furniture and gas barbecue for al-fresco dining. Information on amenities and excursions in the local area and beyond is provided in the cottage. Richard and Paula will be pleased to give you any additional information you might need. Please note that the stairs in the cottage are steep and the upstairs doorways are low. There is a pond in the meadow, so you will wish to take extra care with young children. We do have a stair gate, if you need it, and we also have a travel cot and a baby bath available for our very young guests! Because of our insurance regulations, La Cauchoise indoors is a no smoking area, and we appreciate you respecting this. La Cauchoise - The perfect place for your
French holiday! The cottage is easily accessible from the
Channel port of Le Havre. Prices are in £ sterling per week (Saturday start). Special rates for longer lets (4 weeks +)
The cottage is
available between March - October. Mid season: April, May, June & September. Peak season: July & August Our rates include all linen and towels (except leisure/beach towels). A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. We are sure you will understand that, in the event of cancellation of a booking within 8 weeks of arrival, regrettably, we must charge the full cost of the reservation. This will be waived only if all cancelled accommodation is re-let. We offer a discount for booking additional weeks, and also for returning guests. We also ask for a deposit of £150.00 against unwarranted damage or breakages. This can be in the form of a cheque which we will return to you within 14 days of the end of your stay. La Cauchoise is available from 4pm Saturday, and we ask you to depart by 10am on your final Saturday, so that we can get everything ready for our next guests.
