Domaine de la Tour is a magnificent 18th century farmhouse, situated in peaceful countryside close to the town of Falaise, Lower Normandy. Once part of a greater property including a chateau constructed by Louis XV for one of his favourites, Madame de Seran, the farmhouse has been entirely restored to a high standard.

Domaine de la Tour is situated 1km off the main road, surrounded by 500 hectares of forest and agricultural land.

The nearest town is Falaise, just a few minutes drive away where you will find two large supermarkets, a variety of shops, restaurants, banks, bakeries, an aquatic centre and weekly market on Saturday morning. It is within 30 minutes of the nearest coast and 20 minutes of Caen by motorway.

The gîtes

Our gîtes are set in 7 hectares of land offering a tranquil, rural retreat in which to relax and unwind. Formerly stables to the nearby château, the two gîtes have been entirely renovated whilst keeping their authentic charm.

Both gîtes have a spacious living area with leather sofas and satellite TV (all BBC channels including Cbeebies), a DVD/CD/MP3/SD-card player, and a library of DVDs for kids and parents. Wi-Fi internet access is available in both gîtes.

There is a shared playroom equipped with plenty of toys for the under 5s and nearby table tennis for older kids (and their parents!).

There are extensive grounds in which to play outdoor games and enjoy picnics and the little ones can enjoy patting the animals in the paddock.

Domaine de la Tour is a great option for extended families or several different families wanting to holiday together with plenty of space for everybody, old and young alike.

Accommodation Details
Both our gîtes have an identical layout and each one sleeps up to 8 people over three floors.
Ground floor :
Kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge, cooker, coffee machine, water boiler, washing machine, dryer).
Open plan living room with dining area including high chair (with french windows leading into the private
garden).
Lounge area with leather sofas, TV and DVD player
W.C.
Staircase (protected top and bottom by stair gates) leads to the First Floor:
1 twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (bath, shower, sink, toilet) + 1 change table.
1 twin bedroom with ensuite shower room (shower, sink, toilet).

1 twin bedroom with ensuite shower room (shower, sink, toilet).

Additional beds and cots can be added to certain rooms on request at extra charge.

Outside
Each gîte has a private fenced garden of 300 m2 with garden furniture, terrace and barbecue.
In front of the gîtes is an enclosed courtyard area of 500 m2, ideal for playing petanque-French Boules.
Grounds of 7 hectares.
Paddock with different animals for patting (April until November).

Meal service
Its not really a holiday if you have to cook every night so why not take the easy option and order in? Delicious meals prepared by a local gourmet restaurant can be delivered to your gîte up to three times per week ready to re-heat at a time that is convenient to you - quality take-away with a twist.

Baby listening
Free baby listening is available twice a week to enable you to enjoy time alone with your partner and sample the local gastronomic restaurants.

Pre-arrival shopping service
Before arrival simply e-mail your requirements on our pre-arrival shopping list and you can arrive to a well-stocked fridge and plentiful nappy supply. You just need to pack a few clothes and we’ll take care of all the rest.

Reflexology
Relax and unwind with a reflexology session from a qualified, English speaking reflexologist in the comort of your gite.

French conversation lessons
Pre-bookable French conversation lessons are available for both adults and children (2 people min.).

Tariff & availability gîtes

Our gîtes are available for hire on a weekly basis and for short breaks.

Week: from Friday 16.00 pm until Friday 10.00 am.
Midweek break: from Monday 16.00 pm until Friday 10.00 am.
Long weekend: from Friday 16.00 pm until Monday 10.00 am.

Bed & breakfast

At Domaine de la Tour we have 4 ensuite bed & breakfast rooms available in the main house.

Our prices start from 60 euro per night per room up to 100 euro for our bridal room. A nice French breakfast is included in the room rate. For long stays of five nights or more we offer you a tailor-made discount.
