About
our region St. Julien le Faucon is just 40 minutes
away from the ferry at Ouistreham Caen, and the same
distance from the famous beaches of Deauville and
Trouville, the Cote Fleurie and the old port of Honfleur.
To the West lie the D-Day landing beaches, the museums
and memorials of the second world war, and the whole area
has rich memories of The village of St. Julien le Faucon is just 5 minutes’ walk from the house at La Cour aux Granges and has a baker, butcher, mini-market, chemist, hairdresser, two bars and an excellent gourmet restaurant. The second
city of Calvados, Lisieux, is just 10 minutes away and
has major supermarkets and and city centre shopping. Main
House ( sleeps upto 11 ) La Cour aux Granges is set in 5 acres of private meadows on the outskirts of the village of St. Julien le Faucon, with a large lawned garden and a small fishing lake. The ground floor of the main house has a 45m living area, which reaches into the beams of the roof with a huge fire place. There is a stereo system and snooker table as well as a piano.
The dining / TV room has another sitting area with a double sofa bed and a television/video. The well-equipped kitchen has another open fireplace, and is equipped with a dishwasher.
The bathroom at the other end of the house has laundry facilities with washing machine, ironing board and iron. From the living area of the house, there is an original staircase to the gallery bedroom, which has a double bed, with a privacy screen. Above the kitchen are two further double bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed. The large landing has a further double sofa bed, and there are two camp beds provided, as well as a cot. All beds are supplied with duvets, blankets, pillows and covers. There is a shower room and WC adjacent. The house benefits from central heating throughout. The adjoining barn has bicycles and outdoor games such as boules and badminton for the garden, and there is a table tennis in the small house. Tennis rackets are provided for the nearby excellent tennis courts in the village’s leisure centre. There is also a barbecue, garden furniture and a swing. Maison
d'Amis ( sleeps 6 ) La Maison d’Amis of La Cour aux Granges has its own garden facing away from the main house with standing for a car and a barbecue area with table and chairs. The ground floor of the main house has a 42m2 living and dining area, which incorporates the kitchen corner. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Upstairs
are two bedrooms, one with 3 single beds, one of which
pulls out into a double bed, and the other with a double
bed. All beds are supplied with duvets, pillows and
covers. There is a shower room and WC adjacent. The house
