our gites These
delightful gites are situated in a small hamlet 5 minutes
from We are 1 hour from Poitiers which has a theme park called Futuroscope. This is a great day out for adults and children alike. We are 7 mins from Le Dorat which has a cinema, bars/restaurants and a beautiful medieval church and 45 minutes from Limoges with its porclain factories and shops. Also near is Oradour sur Glane a town destroyed by the germans in w.w.2 and preserved just as it was on that day. Accommodation Gite 1 sleeps 4/6, has a large sitting room, woodburner and fitted kitchen. Upstairs is the shower room, 1 double bedroom plus family room with 1 double bed and bunks. Gite 2 sleeps 8, has a kitchen/diner, sitting room with wood burner. Also downstairs is a double bedroom. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, one is a double bedroom and the other two each have 2 single beds. The bathroom is situated upstairs. Gite 3 sleeps 4, has a
kitchen diner, sitting room with woodburner, bathroom and
large Gite 4 sleeps 6, has a kitchen diner, sitting room and shower room. upstairs are 3 bedrooms with 2 double bedrooms and 1 bedroom with bunks. All of our properties are fully equipped and linen is included. All the gites have Sky TV.
There is a large garden which is shared by the owners and it has a trampoline, swing/seesaws and a swimming pool with sun loungers. There is a area for boules and a barbecue is supplied for each gite. This would make a great family holiday either to explore the many swimming lakes with man-made beaches ( watersports high season ) or just relax by the pool. great for fishing, cycling, walking or visiting the medieval churches or chateaux. Alternatively, if you were thinking of moving to this area it would make a great base from which to discover the beautiful limousin area and find that special home of your own. This area is still one of the cheapest in France for property buying. We are also amenable to long lets at a reduced rate, particularly during the winter months. Contact us for details. arrival against breakages Getting there The location of the gites is approximately 15 minutes drive from the A20 which is the main route through from Paris to Toulouse. You will need to exit a junction 23. You will need a car to reach places of interest, which you could hire from the airports, or you could drive down from the ports. It takes around 7 hours from Calais or around 5 hours from Le Harve. Ryanair fly from Southampton and Liverpool to Limoges, flybe fly from Southampton and from may 2007 from Newcastle international airport to Limoges. Alternatively this area can be reached by train.
