About
our Bed & Breakfast Nestled in the folds of
the Corbières hills you will find A very warm welcome awaits you at La Vue sur les Vignes, where we have 3 en-suite guest rooms. The house itself is about 200 years old, and we have spent 18 months carefully renovating it to provide comfortable accommodation for our guests, with an added touch of luxury. No matter how long or short your stay, we hope you'll like it so much that you'll want to come back, again and again. On the ground
floor, you enter into our sitting room, with To the left is a small bar, from where we serve wines, beers and soft drinks. At the back of the sitting room we have converted the old log store into a restful indoor garden, complete with trickling fountain. On the next floor
up is our dining room where we serve Off the dining room is a south facing terrace, where we can serve meals during the hot summer months. Also off the dining room is the kitchen, where tea and coffee are available at any time. If we're not around, we hope you won't mind helping yourself. On the top floor we have our guest rooms, all tastefully decorated in warm Mediterranean colours and soft lighting. The beds are topped with 4-season duvets for all-year round comfort. Each room has a hair dryer and there are fans available for those hot summer nights. The en-suites are equipped with toilet, wash basin and hydro-massage showers for luxurious relaxation. Breakfast consists of cereal, fresh fruit yoghurt, croissants, home-made bread and jams, juices, tea, coffee or chocolate. Cooked breakfasts available at a small supplement. About our region The village
itself is set on a spit of land surrounded by the For lovers of peace and quiet, this is the ideal location, but it can also provide as much action and adventure as you want, with quad biking, paragliding, white water rafting, horse riding, walking and cycling. A few kilometres from the village is a fresh water swimming pool, fed by one of the five springs around the village, at a constant 20°. The beaches are within an hour's drive, and stretch for miles. All have excellent facilities, clean sand and crystal clear Mediterranean water. Within 45 minutes there are three swimming pools and plenty of river swimming spots. Also worth a visit are the Medieval abbeys of Lagrasse and Fontfroide, and the many Cathar castles that are perched on mountain tops around here. The towns of Carcassonne, Narbonne and Perpigan, all within an hour's drive, provide a good day out. All have Medieval origins (some earlier) so there is good sightseeing, as well as enough shops to satisfy even the most dedicated shopaholic. Pavement cafés abound for those hungry moments. Self Catering Gites If you prefer self catering holidays, we also have 2 gites in Quintillan, sleeping up to 4 and 6, and another with a swimming pool in the neighbouring village of Palairac, sleeping 8. We can accommodate up to 60 people, using other selected properties in the two villages, and would welcome enquiries from clubs or groups wishing to holiday together.
