An ideal base for house hunting

The village of Rieux Minervois, in the Aude region of Languedoc, is situated 20km from the historic medieval walled city of Carcassonne, and under an hour from the town of Narbonne and the Mediterranean beach resorts.

The Montagne Noir can be reached in under half an hour, with its peak Pic de Nor at 5000 feet offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

The Aude region makes a perfect base for exploring this lovely area of France, with the Minervois and Corbières wine producing areas close by, and the countryside a patchwork of vineyards, woods, farms, rivers and streams.

About our Bed & Breakfast (3 double & 2 single bedrooms)

The bed and breakfast accommodation is situated in a village house close to the centre of the small village of Rieux Minervois in the Aude region of Languedoc, which offers all basic shopping and amenities, and a market. There are several restaurants in the local area, plus 3 pizzerias.The village also boasts an unusual and interesting octaganal church.

On the ground floor, the accommodation comprises:

Outside is a pleasant courtyard where the owner grows fruit, flowers and vegetables, and where breakfast can be served on sunny mornings.

On the first floor are:

One double bedroom.

One single bedroom.

On the second floor are:

2 well furnished and comfortable double bedrooms.

1 single bedroom.

Bathroom.

Shower room.

A washing machine is available for guests' use. Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the house.

Pets are welcome.

Getting there

Rieux Minervois in the Aude region of Languedoc is easily accessible from Carcassonne airport, about half an hour away. Car hire is available at the airport.
