Bedroom 1 (downstairs): A sunny south facing room with views onto open countryside. With an electric radiator under the window. It is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, a chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets complete with bedside lamps, electric hairdryer etc.
Bedroom 2: A huge bright 31ftx18ft (9mx7m) open-plan upstairs room, furnished with a fitted carpet, a double bed, two single beds and bedroom furniture similar to above. Please note a cot is also available on request. All bed linen and towels are provided.
Living Area (all on ground floor): Large open plan, 25ftx18ft (7.5m x 5.5m).consisting of a -
Kitchen Area: Well equipped with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, a gas hob, electric oven, a stainless steel sink, microwave oven, toaster, food processor, coffee percolator, electric kettle and a large built in fridge.
Dining Area: With an electric radiator under the window, a large farmhouse table and 6 chairs. book case, plus a highchair if required.
Relaxing Area: With an electric radiator under the window.It is furnished with three armchairs and sofa bed all facing a large inglenook fireplace complete with a very cosy and efficient woodburning stove,a bookcase + books and games, coffee table, reading lights, TV/Radio (UK and French channels), CD/Radio/MP3 player with USB direct.
Utility Room: Well equipped with a dishwasher, double sink, washing machine, freezer, vacuum cleaner, clothes airer and ironing facilities.
Shower Room: With a large spacious (1.20m x 1.80m) walk in tiled shower enclosure, With safety hand rails fixed to the walls, pedestal wash basin, bathroom cabinet with light and shaver socket, and an electric radiator under the window. There is also full length mirrors set in the tiles. and a WC.
Gardens (two): Both gardens are south facing onto open countryside.The larger garden which contains a fishpond and garden bench is completely enclosed.
The smaller garden is complete with barbecue, two sun loungers and a variety of flowering shrubs.In the centre is a mature lime tree giving shade to the table and chairs placed under its branches.
There is off road parking opposite the garden.Two adult mountain bikes are also available to add that extra pleasure to your holiday.(additional bikes can be hired at Chamberet).
The Local Area For some beautiful panoramic views of this area,visit Mont Gargan just 6 km away,with an altitude of 731m .
Travel some of the route of Richard the Lion heart and see many chateaux and fortified churches.
Visit some of the most beautiful villages in France ( award winning).
Oradour sur Glane 25km NW of Limoges where the village has been left just as the ss soldiers left it in june the 10 1944 after killing all of its inhabitants. See the prehistoric sites and the Vezere valley.
Gimel-les cascades where the three waterfalls have a total drop of 143m.
Beaulieu-sur Dordogne,which is one of the most attractive medieval villages along the Upper Dordogne.
The Plateau de Millevaches (978m at its highest point].
Collonges-la rouges built entirely of bright red sandstone.
Go and have a look at whats on offer at the local markets and car boot sales, or enjoy yourselves at the local fetes of which many have live music.

Fishing, Swimming, Sailing & Canoeing
There are numerous lakes with beaches and a brand new swimming pool at Chamberet. The nearest lakes with beaches are at Meilhards, Masseret and La Croisille sur Briance with others at St Germain les Belles, Meuzac, Seilhac, Sussac ,Chateauneuf la Foret, Treignac and the huge Lake Vassiviere which covers 1000ha/2471acres. The rivers Vézère, Vienne, upper Dordogne, Correze, Petite Briance, Grande Briance, Soudaine, Combade, Bradascou and Rosselle are also near by to either fish, take a canoe on, or have a picnic by.
Cycling, Walking & Horse Riding
Two mountain bikes are provided for your use. The Limousin is one of the most sparsely populated areas of France. This makes for relaxed outings by car, bicycle, or on foot without having to worry about the traffic.

Golf & Karting There are 9 courses within easy traveling distance (open all year). As well as a go karting track.
House Hunting in the Limousin La Nouvelle Vie is in an ideal position for house hunters as it is on the border of the Correze and the Haute Vienne giving easy access to both departments.
A list of English speaking local estate agents ,giving phone nos, email addresses and web-sites can be supplied on request. This would give an opportunity for research and property selection before arrival. Also if you have any queries about living in the Limousin we are always willing to help.
Eating Out There are many restaurants within the local area with menus to cater for all tastes. From the menu of the day lunches which offer a four course meal and wine for about 12 euros. To the top quality a la carte evening meal which are very reasonably priced and so delicious. (do not forget to try the famous Limousin beef).
Shopping The pretty village of Chamberet only 5miles away has an excellent boulangerie, a supermarket which is open until 7pm Monday - Saturday and 10am -12 noon Sunday. There are bars, restaurants, chemist, doctors, bank, post office (24 hour cash machine). Or if you are a shopaholic there are always Limoges and Brive to explore.
Stargazing With no light or smoke pollution You will have a chance to see thousands of stars and planets that you have probably never seen before.
Relaxing Most important of all. This area is ideal for taking in the fresh air,soaking up the sun,and relaxing in a peaceful setting where life moves at a slower pace.

Please Note All the prices shown are for TWO people for one week. For each additional person there is a charge of £15 per week and £5 per week for a dog/cat. Minimum stay 6 nights. Payments accepted in UK pounds or Euros by cheque or credit/debit cards Via PAYPAL.
A 20% deposit is required on booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. A discount is given on a two week stay - for longer and shorter stays prices on request.
A booking week is from Saturday 4pm to the following Saturday 10am.
No Hidden Extras All bed linen and towels, gas, electricity,logs for the fire and the use of two mountain bikes are Included in the price.
Cleaning is also included in the price,but we ask you to leave La Nouvelle Vie in the condition you would hope to find it.
No Saturday flight available? A booking week is from Saturday 4pm to the following Saturday 10am. However other arrival and departure dates are possible but if a Saturday is included in the middle of your stay there is a minimum charge of 12 nights. So why not stay at least 12 nights?
If we have no vacancies in the Summer why not come in the Spring (It arrives early here) and experience the abundance of the fauna and flora,or in the Autumn, with its mild temperatures, view all the amazing colours around ?
Here in the Limousin at Christmas and the New Year with the holly and the mistletoe growing outside, the possibility of snow,the log fire burning inside and you knowing it's costing you less than it would in the summer, I'm sure you will find it perfect. *Christmas breaks come complete with tree, lights and decorations.
La Nouvelle vie is situated in the Tiny hamlet of Verdeyme on the borders of the Haute Vienne and Correze departments of the Limousin. Close to Chassagnas and Surdoux.
From the autoroute A20 either take exit 42 (St Germain les Belles) or exit 43 (Masseret). Verdeyme is approx 1 mile SW of Surdoux. Full directions and an information pack will be sent on completion of booking.
There are direct flights to Limoges from London (Stansted), Liverpool, Nottingham (EMA), Bristol and Leeds-Bradford with Ryanair.
Flybe has direct flights from Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle & Southampton. N.B. Some of these flights are in the summer only.
And now there are also direct flights to Brive from London City Airport with cityjet.com
For those not coming by car, There are Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National car hire facilities to be found in the airport car parks. and also just opposite Limoges Railway station.
With the Eurostar to Lille you only have to change platforms to catch the new fast S.N.C.F. (French rail) train to Limoges. Or Eurostar to Paris, but you have to change stations to catch another train to Limoges.
