Situated between Vire and Flers, this restored longere farmhouse provides you with the perfect opportunity to escape from the pressures of everyday life.

Here you can relax in our lovely garden or take a stroll along the lane and admire the lush, rolling scenery and follow the green leafy pathway, so typical of the ’bocage’ area of Normandy.

Art Tuition.

Make the most of your visit to Normandy by learning new creative skills. Our Residential Art courses run during May, June and September.

All abilities welcome. We also offer workshops for adults every Tuesday morning during July and August. and children’s workshop every Wednesday during the summer holidays.

About our region

The local area offers a choice of leisure activities including walking, cycling and horse riding and for the more adventurous there is kayaking or even bungee jumping.

Vire boasts a golf course which has recently extended to 18 holes and if you enjoy fishing, then spend a day at one of the well stocked nearby lakes.

The pretty village of St Quentin les Chardonnets is 1km from here and the small, medieval town of Tinchebray with shops, bars and banks is only 4km away.

The nearby towns hold regular, bustling markets, where you can sample the specialities of the region and buy an abundance of local produce.

La Foucauderie is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotentin peninsula.

Destinations of interest include the D-Day beaches, Bayeux, the seaside towns of Granville, Barneville–Carteret and the world heritage site of Mont St Michel.
