Set in 2 acres of wooded grounds just to the south of Fanjeaux and a convenient 25 minute drive from Carcassonne airport, La Chevaline offers an ideal base from which to explore the stunning surrounding countryside. The farmhouse was built in 1783 and has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation in four cottages.
La Sellerie has its own enclosed garden with garden furniture and barbeque. The kitchen corner is equipped with a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, filter coffee maker and toaster. The sitting room is furnished with a sofa, easy chairs and a CD/Radio/Cassette player. The ground floor shower room has a shower, washbasin and WC. A hairdryer is provided. Both bedrooms are on the first floor.
Books, board games and jigsaws are available for loan, as are an ironing board and iron.
The grounds have a children’s swing set, covered games area for petanque, table tennis and badminton and a secure enclosure housing a main pool (12.5 x 5 m), a children’s pool (3 x 3 m) and a sunny terrace with loungers and tables.
Le Fig Tree, our small bar for residents, serves local wine, beers and soft drinks and, in the evening, home made pizzas.
