the B&B Our B&B is situated about 200m from the Gulf of Morbihan, and close to the 18 hole Baden Golf course. Also nearby are the historic towns of Vannes, Auray and its port, La Trinité sur Mer. We are ideally placed for those seeking a seaside location, as well as the peace and tranquility of the Morbihan countryside. Ar Couette Bed & Breakfast is open all year round. It has been converted from an ancient Breton farmhouse, retaining many original features yet combined with modern comforts. We have 4 independent rooms for bed & breakfast, grouped around a welcoming lounge where breakfast is served using local produce, and where you can relex in the evenings around a log fire. Price includes breakfast. Extra person 15 per night. Golf holidays You can also enjoy the Gulf of Morbihan whilst playing golf. The 18 hole Baden Golf Course is one minute by car from the B&B. It is an excellent course, set amongst broom and pine trees and borders the River Auray. About our region Mor Bihan (Breton for 'Little
Sea) The climate here is sunny and mild, and the beauty of its coastlne makes it a renowned tourist destination. Whether you discover the region by boat or from the shore, you will never cease to be surprised by its changing landscapes which vary according the the tides and the light. There are thousands of hecares of rocky inlets, beaches and salt marshes which are home to 100,000 seabirds including seagulls, waders, egrets and ibis. Fifteen minutes away are the standing stones of Carnac. However, a large part of the site is now fenced off for security reasons although some of the smaller stones are still accessible to the public. Visit the medieval town of Vannes
with its ancient houses and ramparts, and Auray and its
port Saint Goustan. In the past this was a large fishing
and commercial port but today, a haven of tranquility
which attracts many artists and painters.
