About
our property What could be more pleasant than a place of your own for a week or two deep in the heart of the enchanting Brittany countryside with the added attractions of a large heated swimming pool and a family pitch and putt golf course. Until recently the accommodation was also a working farm, dating back to 1858. The buildings have now been internally designed by a local French architect and tastefully converted to provide first class accommodation with a high standard of comfort. At the same time great care has been taken to preserve the original exteriors and all the old world charm you would come to expect from this part of the country. Accommodation Grange 1 (sleeps 3) The ground floor comprises of a spacious open plan dining/sitting room. One wall is in original stone with a feature fireplace. To the rear is a fully equipped kitchen area with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, full sized cooker and ample crockery, cutlery and glasses. The dining and sitting areas are fully furnished to a high standard of comfort with a hi fi and French television. The first floor has a large bedroom with a
double and a single bed. The
bedroom is complete with bedside cabinets, clock radio,
wall lights, good sized wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. Outside is its own patio with table, chairs and a BBQ and parking for a car. Grange 2 (sleeps 4) The
ground floor comprises of a large open plan kitchen/dining area and a
spacious sitting area. The
first floor has two bedrooms one with a double bed the
other with two single beds. Outside is its own patio with table, chairs and a BBQ and parking for two cars. Granary (sleeps 4) The
front door opens directly into the dining/kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge,
dishwasher, microwave, full sized cooker and ample
crockery, cutlery and glasses. Outside is a private patio with table, chairs, BBQ and parking for two cars. The Farmhouse (sleeps 6) The Farmhouse has a spacious dining / sitting room with adjoining separate kitchen. Double doors lead from the kitchen onto an extensive patio. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, full sized cooker and ample crockery, cutlery and glasses. The dining and sitting areas are fully furnished to a high standard of comfort with a hi fi and French television. On
the ground floor there is a large bedroom with a double
bed. The adjoining bathroom has a bath with shower
attachment. The bedrooms are
complete with bedside cabinets, clock radios, wall lights
and good sized wardrobes. All rooms are fully insulated, double glazed and have wall mounted electric heaters. Outside at the rear there is a large patio with table, chairs and a BBQ. At the front is parking for three cars. The Byre (sleeps 8) The
ground floor comprises of a large dining / sitting room The dining and sitting areas are fully furnished to a high standard with comfortable seating for eight people. A hi fi and French television are also provided. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a double bed the other with two singles. A
downstairs bathroom has a bath with shower
attachment. The bedrooms are
complete with bedside cabinets, clock radios, wall lights
and wardrobes. Facilities The heated outdoor
swimming pool is probably the major attraction. The family pitch and putt golf course has nine holes and covers about five acres of a large sloping field. The views from the top are well worth the walk even if you don't play golf. The course was
designed for the non golfer and novice but it has proved
very popular with the more experienced, for practice of
their short game. Prices and Booking Information
All prices are per week and start on a Saturday (except the Byre which starts on Sunday). Each property has been designed
to accommodate the stated number of people, whether for
3, 4, 6 or 8 members, to a high standard without recourse
to sofa beds etc. Cots and high chairs are provided free
of charge (please book in advance). About our region In Botcoet the hectic pace of modern life is replaced by the daily commuting of cows from the local farms and the local roads are noticeably free of traffic. Botcoet is a small community of some three working farms and associated cottages with a total population of about 20 people. If you have a liking for the tranquillity of the countryside you will be captivated by it. With
the opportunity to eat at home you can take advantage of
the excellent local produce and because of Brittany's
large coastline there is a thriving fishing industry so a
wide variety of superb fresh seafood is readily available
from the nearby shops. Getting There Ferries run from all the main UK Ports:
Flights run from Luton to Brest (Ryan Air), Stanstead to Dinard (Ryan Air), Southampton to Brest (Flybe), Luton to Lorient (Aer Arann).
