Welcome to our traditional 17th c. Breton, Farmhouse or ("Longere") and our two delightful "Gites" (Holiday Homes), all only 30 minutes from the Capital City of Rennes; 10 minutes from the market town of Bain de Bretagne & 25 minutes from Chateaubriant.

Bed & Breakfast Holidays

At "La Plesse" we offer our guests the choice of 3 double bedrooms:

Master bedroom: (en-suite) with 1 double bed, sleeps 2 persons.

Family Bedroom: 1 double bed and two single beds, skeeps 4 persons:

Guest Bedroom: 1 double bed and 1 single bed, sleeps 3 persons.

All bedrooms are provided with tea/coffee making and reading facilities.

Continental breakfast comprises:

Fresh fruit juice, yoghurt, croissants, brioche, baguettes, conserves and honey, tea/coffee/chocolate.

Breakfast is served from 8.30 - 10 am. Evening meals are by prior arrangement.

Gite Holidays

L'Abri (sleeps 4-6)

"L'Abri" is an attractively decorated, spacious and comfortalbe holiday house attached to the Farmhouse.

There are two double bedrooms, a large airy living room c/w a sofa bed, an expansive kitchen/dining room, complete with a wood burning stove for winter use, plus a big bathroom and separate storage room.

A baby's cot and high chair are also provided.

There is tea/coffee making equipment in the bedrooms. Bed linen and household linen, towels etc, are supplied. Heating is electric.

A washing machine, microwave oven, rotary line, iron and ironing board are available.

Guests will enjoy the garden with its furnished patio and barbecue facilities.

Car, etc owners can safely park their vehicle(s) in the parking area. Smoking is not allowed in the house and no pets are permitted.

Chez Evelyn (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4/6)

"Chez Evelyn" is a comfortable, detached gite located in a well serviced village just 7 km from the Farmhouse.

There are two double bedrooms. A cot and high chair are available. The living room is open plan with a fitted kitchen/dining area and a traditional open fireplace.

There is a pretty shower room with a toilet and w.h.b. and a separate utility area with a washing machine.

Then there is a small furnished conservatory off the kitchen area.

Bed linen, towels etc are provided as in an ironing board and an iron. Bedrooms are supplied with tea/coffee making facilities.

A rotary line is available for guests' use.  The garden is spacious with a patio terrace and barbecue amenities. There is a spacious detached garage for guests' use.

Our region and its activities

There is so much to see and do in this area that it could fill pages. You may, however, prefer to relax and our gardens have furnished terraces and barbecue facilities: we even supply books to read! There is ample sale off-road/garage parking for guests' vehicles.

This area of Brittany is renowned for the variety of its landscapes, the pretty towns, the markets and its huge diversity of activities. Guests can safely walk or cycle -on special car-free, cycle-ways.

Swimmers can either use the local swimming pool or swim in the near-by man-made swimming arena. Breton lakes are renowned as a Fisherman's paradise.

There are several Equestrian centres close by for riding and, local tennis courts. Golf enthusiasts are catered for at the excellent Vitre Golf Course, just 30 minutes away.

Motoring devotees can try their hands at:- Karting; Formule France; rallycross, and even quad-driving at the exciting Loheac circuit, a short 25 min. drive away.

It only takes a pleasant 2 hour car journey to reach the internationally famous motor racing circuit of Le Mans.

You might like to take some flying lessons in a light air- craft, a glider or perhaps even in a micro-light aircraft at any one of several local airfields. And, there are lots of theme, animal and traditional parks to entertain the younger members of the family.

Professional, one-to-one art classes and highly enjoyable, advanced driving classes - showing you how to drive with skill and confidence) on French roads, are available too. Please request further information on these programmes.

Cherbourg and Rosscoff Ferry Ports - 3.5 hrs. drive away.
