About
our cottage A warm welcome awaits you at a lovingly renovated self-contained cottage in the centre of Brittany. Original beams have been incorporated into the 2 bedrooms and shower room. The attractive kitchen/dining room/sitting room is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area is well equipped and modern with cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and all cooking equipment. The lounge area has a comfortable 3 piece suite and also a large log burning stove which has the added advantage of warm air heating to the bedrooms which makes the cottage an ideal base for early and late breaks as well as for the summer holidays.
The cottage sleeps 4 in one double and one twin room. There is also a cot and a high chair available. All bedding and towels are provided but we ask guests to bring their own beach towels. Electricity is included in the price but there will be a charge for logs for heating in the cooler weather. No pets and no smoking please. edge of the pretty, tranquil The area is very pretty and right in the centre of Brittany which makes it an ideal base for exploring the whole of Brittany. Brittany's many beautiful beaches and forests are easily accessible. There are a number of covered swimming pools in the area and in the summer there is an open air swimming pool in the town of St Nicholas du Pelem which is only 10 minutes' drive away. Lake Guerledan is only five minutes' drive away with beaches for swimming. You can also hire bikes, canoes, pedalos and boats and there are cafés, crazy golf and a children's play area. The Nantes to Brest canal is only a few minutes' drive away with fishing and lovely riverside and forest walks.
The attractive historic town of Quintin is about 20 minutes' drive away as is the Napoleonic town of Pontivy which is excellent for shopping and has the Nantes to Brest canal running through the town which makes it very pretty.
