L'Ancien Café near the Côtes d'Armor coast

Our holiday home is a charming Breton stonehouse in an unspoilt corner of the Côtes d'Armor. The village of Vieux-Marché is 8 miles from the coast, 30 miles from Roscoff, and 70 miles from St-Mâlo.

There is a church, local shop/bakery and café in the village.

Supermarkets and a Tuesday street market selling local produce can be found at Plouaret (1 mile). There is also an acclaimed Thursday market at Lannion (9 miles) and an excellent Saturday market at Morlaix (15 miles).

There are beaches and sailing on the beautiful Côte de Granit Rose (8 miles), and boat trips to Sept-Isles and gannet colonies from Perros-Guirec (15 miles).

Other attractions in the region include the nearby Forest of Beffou, the Planetarium at Plumer-Bodou and the World famous aquarium at Brest (50 miles).

The region has numerous castles and old churches, and a prehistoric monument at Carnac.

Le Vieux-Marché is an ideal base for walking, hiking and fishing, and makes a perfect spot for holidays in this lovely region of Brittany.

About our property (sleeps 7)

The holiday home has ground floor accommodation comprising:

A fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer.

A large living, dining room with open fireplace.

Toilet with wash basin and washing machine.

On the first floor are:

3 ensuite bedrooms: La Suède, Les Deux Alpes and La Frèsque + adjoining child's room. A cot available is upon request.

Outside, the holiday home has:

A large courtyard with ping-pong, BBQ, a spacious covered veranda with table + seating, and lovely gardens with a shallow stream, rabbits, hens and boules alley.

Getting there

Day and night crossings to Roscoff (30 miles) and St-Mâlo
(70 miles) 19 crossings a week in high season.

TGV via Paris to Plouaret-Tregor station (1 mile).

Plane to Dinard Airport (65 miles).
