Villa La Rive is a luxurious holiday home with private swimming pool and landing stage.

The villa stands directly on the banks of the river Lot, facing the picturesque village of Fongrave. A true fishermen paradise !

The enclosed estate has a spectacular view over the river and the picturesque village Fongrave on the other side of the river.

The villa has 4 double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, a tastefully antique furnished living room and an open pine kitchen.

In front of the villa there is a spectacular terrace  of 2500 sq.ft., connected to a landing stage. A boat with outboard engine can be used for free for trips on the river or fishing.

The 10m x 3.5. pool is sunk into the terrace.

Prices and booking information

Prices include gas, water, electricity, bedding, towels & tea towels. The use of a tennis court is also included.

Cleaning fee: Euro 100.

Damage deposit: Euro 250.

Pets are welcome on request. No smoking in the bedrooms & bathrooms.

About the region

The luxurious holiday villa is situated in the department of Lot et Garonne, near the village Le Temple sur Lot.

Le Temple sur Lot is situated almost equidistant from Bordeaux and Toulouse, both approximately 100 km. away.

The small village of Ste Livrade can be reached in 5 min. by car, 10 min. by bicycle or 15 min. by boat. Here you will find everything you need, and every Friday there is a very large and busy market.

Larger towns are Villeneuve sur Lot, at 12 km and Agen at 25 km. In Agen you can visit a Walibi (funpark for children).

The Lot et Garonne region is not very well known and therefore not crowded with tourists in the summer. This part of France is called the Tuscany of France, mainly because of the charming villages built onto the many hilltops. Closy by are the vineyards of Cahors, Bergerac, Buzet, Duras and Bordeaux.

Villa La Rive is situated directly on the shores of the river Lot. On the river there are many facilities for water sports such as fishing, rowing, windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing, etc.

In the surrounding area, within 30 minutes' drive, there are facilities for walking, biking, swimming, horseriding, hang-gliding, para-gliding, mountain biking, tennis and golf.

Lot et Garonne is the so called Tuscany of France, because of itssloping landscapes and the numerous bastide villages such as Pujols, Penne d' Agenais and Monflanquin. They are highly reminiscent of Tuscany.

For winelovers this is a perfect area, within less than an hour's drive are Cahors, Buzet, Duras, Bergerac and Bordeaux.

Getting there

After Paris, follow directions for Limoges (A20) until you get to Cahors and then another 100 km. on beautiful D-roads crossing the winefields of Cahors.

Or you can follow directions for Bordeaux after leaving Paris, and then to Agen/ Villeneuve, followed by another 30km on D roads. This route is 50 km. longer than the first one.
