About
our property Domaine de France The property includes a restored mid 19th century Maison de Maitre, a converted barn and swimming pool set in 13 acres on the edge of the medieval village of Penne d'Agenais, Lot et Garonne. Gites The barn at Domaine de France has been converted into 3 gites and a large games room / communal indoor area. Each gite is fully equipped and includes dish washer, fridge, microwave, hob &/or oven and television. Gite 1: La Petite Maison This is a one bedroomed, former ‘Maison de Guardien’. It has an open plan living area, shower room and bedroom on the ground floor and a small mezzanine overlooking the living area. Gite 2: Le Rosier and Gite 3: Racachi These are both
two-bedroomed gites. Their Gites 1 and 2 can be interlinked, as can Gites 2 and 3, and it is therefore possible to book 1,2,3,4 or 5 bedroomed self-catering accommodation. There is an 11 x 5 metre pool as well as games room, barbeque areas and gardens. Chambres d'Hôtes Accommodation There are 4 en suite bedrooms on the first floor of the house, and each is named after a bay in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Moulin Huet
and Saints are family rooms, containing a double bed and
bunk beds; Le Jaonnet has double bed with the possibility
of adding a supplementary single bed, and Fermain has
twin beds. All rooms have an en-suite facilities. The dining room and sitting area extends onto the balcony overlooking the rear garden. This space is used for al fresco meals during the high season. Facilities The swimming pool is open to visitors at their own risk, if the gates have been opened. Parents and guardians are requested to be vigilant with children. No children will be permitted in the pool area without a responsible adult. The pool is alarmed when not in use. Domaine de France has
gardens and parkland available for There is a basic orienteering course ,a treasure hunt and space for boules. The games room in the barn is equipped with table tennis, billiard table and many board games. Activities and Places of Interest Penne D'Agenais is one of the most picturesque bastide villages in the region, boasting 5 restaurants or cafes as well as numerous craft businesses, such as pottery and art studios. The village is home to the impressive Basilica, Notre Dame de Peyragude, which overlooks the village and the River Lot. Villeneuve sur Lot, a 10 min drive away, is the nearest town with a wide choice of eating houses, museums, twice weekly markets and plenty of entertainment in the high season. Domaine de France is 30 mins from Agen, the Prefecture of Lot et Garonne and commercial centre for the surrounding fruit growing region. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, Top 16 rugby and Parc Walibi is nearby. Motor boats and canoes/ kayaks are available for hire from Port de Penne. There are plenty of marked popular walks to follow in the countryside around Penne. Wine tasting and
sampling the superb gastronomy (canard, foie gras and so
much more) of Lot et Garonne are good reasons

Non refundable deposit 30% required at time of booking Refundable deposit on arrival - 300€ to cover extra cleaning and any damage/breakages. Final payment (70%) due 3 weeks before arrival. there By Air: Domaine de France is just a 45 min. drive from Bergerac Airport Ryanair or Flybe,and about 1 hr 30 mins. from either Toulouse or Bordeaux airports.
