A Spacious Pigeonnier with all amenities in a beautiful and tranquil part of France

Chambony is situated just outside the sleepy village of Pardaillan, 25km south of Bergerac. Located between the Bastide town of Eymet, Duras and Miramont.

Local for all your holiday needs, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, baker, doctors, dentist, post office and banks. A local artist lives nearby and is well worth a visit.

Other places to visit are Sarlat, Monflanquin and Montpazier which has some of the most beautiful pottery and lace shops. Many vineyards such as Monbazillac, St Emilion and Cohors plus tasting at local vineyards.

There are man made lakes with sandy beaches for swimming and watersports. Golf at Castelnaud, Chateau Devigier and Tombebœuf. Many local rivers for the fishing enthusiasts. Also canoeing activities close by.

Local markets are a favourite with Miramont on Monday, Eymet on Thursday, Bergerac and St. Foy on Saturday. Bergerac is a particular favourite with its location on the Dordogne river, and the atmosphere of the local traders.

About our property

The Pigeonnier is a spacious 2 berth accommodation with all amenities in a tranquil part of France. This accommodation sits on the brow of a hill overlooking the beautiful surrounding countryside with magnificent views. You can enjoy peace and quiet as there are no other properties on site. A cot can be provided for a baby/infant, and a single sofa bed is available for a young child. We do not cater for pets.

The Pigeonnier has a:

Comfortable living area with sofa, armchairs and dining furniture, a woodburning fire and there is a selection of reading material. There is a television which receives English channels and a DVD player.

Fully fitted kitchen including full size gas cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine.

Large mezzanine bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Shower room.

Outside, you can relax around the private swimming pool (10m x 5m) which attracts the sun from morning until dusk. The pool is salt chlorinated and regularly maintained. Sun beds and parasols are available. The pool is shared only with the owners.

There is an attractive patio with barbecue and garden furniture.

Prices and booking information

These prices include bed linen and towels changed weekly, all electricity and gas. We would prefer there to be no smoking inside the Pigeonnier.

A deposit of 25% is required on booking, and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday.
There is a £100 damages and cleaning deposit payable with the final balance. This will be returned in full after your holiday provided there are no damages and the property is left clean.

Saturday arrivals and departures would be preferred.

Getting there

By car - the nearest Channel port is St Malo - approximately 375 miles, and the furthest is Calais - about 550 miles.

By train the Eurostar service from London to Paris or Lille will connect you with the TGV high speed train network to Libourne, Bordeaux and Agen.

By air - the nearest airport is Bergerac, about 25 minutes away, with other airports at Bordeaux and Toulouse. Car hire can be arranged at each of them.
