Camping Couze is based in Camping des Moulins a privately owned 3 star campsite where French and English are spoken. On site we offer mobile homes to rent from 7th April to 3rd November. There are various activities organised for all age groups.

These include aquagym, archery, aerobics, football, step, volleyball, hockey and weekly countryside walks. There is evening entertainment during the week and a barbecue every Wednesday. A babysitting service and a reasonably priced taxi service are on site and we are on hand to help with booking restaurants, canoeing or hiring quads.

For the little ones “Kids Club” is organised each morning by our bi-lingual courier with the emphasis on fun and friendship.

As the campsite is circular in design it is extremely child-friendly.We have found over the years that children of all ages and nationalities gather together in the open-sided bar area giving parents peace of mind and time to relax.

From June to September the Comite des fetes (the village committee) organises a fortnightly evening market where locals and tourists meet and eat together. The summer fete takes place every year on the first weekend of August.

About the area

The picturesque village of Couze St. Front can be found between the historic towns of Bergerac and Sarlat. Locatedin the Dordogne valley it is a 20 mn drive from Bergerac airport and is a perfect base for exploring all that the Dordogne has to offer…chateaux, prehistoric caves. 14th century villages and bastide towns, markets, vineyards, canoeing ,wind-surfing, water skiing, and golf (to name but a few) or simply just to relax and get away from it all.

The Dordogne region is steeped in history with megalithic caves, medieval villages, and historical chateaux. Far too numerous to mention.

For walking and cycling clubs and individuals, the Dordogne region is renowned for its off the beaten track walking and cycling circuits.

For the golf enthusiast, Chateaux Les Merles (15 min from the campsite) boasts a 9 hole golf course in its grounds. Clubs are available from the club house.

For children there are various theme parks based on the area’s history coupled with nearby water park “l’Etang de Bos” and local aquariums.

Weekly markets are held in Lalinde (3 km from site) and the medieval village of Issigeac (15 km from site). Here you will find farm fresh produce, local specialities as well as jewellery and bric-a-brac novelty items.

The region is a gastronomic delight. Local specialities include confit de canard, foie gras, truffles, cêpes, charcuterie and much more. Dining out in Couze and its environs is a pleasurable experience and superb value for money. Typically priced menus range from €13 euros to €25 euros for 4 to 5 course meals.
